What?! I have a blog?!
K, so it's been like five months since the last time I posted on here. Well, let's see, what can I talk about?
Not that anybody doesn't no know this by now, figuring it's been over four months since, but I have a girlfriend now. I asked Lucy Pinkerman out on July 22. It was a sunday, so after church I managed to get it so it was just the two of us for lunch and I took her out to Tia Zia. Once we got back out to my pickup after eating, I told to her to go to track no. 1 on the cd in the player, which was her favorite cheesy love song whatever you wanna call it, which was oh so cleverly hidden in among a bunch of other not so romantic songs. Anyway, after she realized what the song was I asked her if she would become my girlfriend. The rest is history.
I was the "head of props" for the crew in one-acts this year. The play was entitled "Under Jekyl's Hyde" which was a spoof off of Dr Jekyl and Mr. Hyde. We went to districts this last friday and placed 4th out of 7 schools, which is the best we've done in a few years.
After much extensive pondering, questioning, counseling, and thinking, I came to the conclusion that I was not going to be a wrestler this year. I decided that it wasn't worth all the time that it would require.
My scheduel this year is pretty sweet.
1st-sleep in
2nd-band
3rd-physics
4th-conditioning
5th-choir
6th-British Literature
7th-college class
So as you can see, I only have three technical 'book classes' physics, brit lit, and the college class. Otherwise the rest of the classes are just slack courses to fill my day since I guess I don't have enough to do. The first semester I took English Comp for the college classs, which consisted of writing essay after essay after essay after essay after essay after essay after essay...well you get the picture. Next semester I'm planning on taking speech.
I basically have my sights set on attending UNK. I'm already accepted there and I can be accepted into the Honors program, which has kind of made up my mind for me there. I haven't decided on a major yet though.
My marching band season came to a conclusion this year, with on of our most successful seasons yet. We finished the year with four superiors, a first place in class A/B parade marching, and a sweepstakes trophy(which is for being the best band at a competition.) Over the course of the last four years we have recieved 17 consecutive superior ratings, one excellent(my first competition freshmen year. LAME!!!) two sweepstakes trophies, and various other awards for other marching band things.
Well, there you go all of my loyal blogging fans. That is what's been happening the life of Paul Stephen Tompkins.
